The Mid-Autumn Festival(also called Zhong Qiu Jie) is celebrated on the August 15th on the lunar calendar.
The Mid-Autumn Festival probably began as a harvest festival. Then the festival was later given a mythological flavour with legends of Chang-E, the beautiful lady in the moon.
As a saying goes, "The moon in your hometown is almost always the brightest and roundest". Many people who live far away from homes want to go back to have a family reunion. Family members congregate to enjoy the full moon with mooncakes.
Wish us a long life to share the beauty of this graceful moonlight, even thousands miles apart!
